Where teeth used to be

Well, I forgot to mention in my previous post that the holes where my beloved teeth (RIP) used to be have been healing up pretty darn good. Thank God, I was freaking out since I had them pulled out, fearing I'd be one of the unlucky that get struck with dry socket. I looked like a mad man all over the internet for eating tips, what was safe to eat and what wasn't so I could protect the blood clots in the openings where the extraction had taken place. I kept running into that horrible dry socket word.

Dry socket is basically what can happen to someone who has teeth pulled out where their blood clot dislodges and the bone is left exposed to EVERYTHING: food, drinks, bacteria, you name it! It hurts like hell (from what I've read) and although it is rare, it can definitely happen. Ways to increase getting this horrible shit is by drinking through straws, spitting, and basically performing any other suction-related movements with your mouth.

Anyway, it's been a week since I had my 2 teeth taken out and I've happy that my body has been a good sport and has decided to heal itself quickly. Only thing right now is that I find it difficult to chew on food because my back teeth are sore due to the spacers I had placed back in earlier this week. Guys, I am not looking forward to having the quad helix (expander) put back in the roof of my mouth next Monday.

I just realized that this is the last month for this blog.

How sad.
